Automatic daily backups
Dongip backs up your data automatically every day. Backups are encrypted and stored in the cloud, so if you switch phones, reinstall the app, or lose your device, you can restore everything right where you left off. You don’t need to do anything to enable automatic backups — they run in the background.Manual backup
You can trigger a backup at any time from within the app.Export your data
You can export your transaction history and reports at any time in CSV or PDF format.
Your export includes your expense history, categories, and report data. You can take it to a spreadsheet, share it with an accountant, or keep it for your own records.

Bank linking: how it works and what Dongip can see
When you connect a bank account, Dongip uses Plaid to establish the connection. Plaid is a widely used, regulated financial data service.- Plaid handles the bank login screen. Dongip never sees or stores your bank username or password.
- The connection is read-only. Dongip can read your transactions and balances; it cannot move money.
- Dongip stores the transaction data Plaid provides (merchant, amount, date, account info) to power your expense tracking and reports.
If you delete your Dongip account, your Plaid-linked data is deleted from Dongip’s systems as part of that process. See Delete your Dongip account for details.
